Chute Lake Elementary School

Chute Lake Elementary School opened in 2009 to help serve the growing population of families in Kettle Valley and Kelowna’s Upper Mission. The school is a wonderful facility that instructs students from K - 7 and consistently achieves above average academic levels.

Okanagan Mission Secondary School

OKM is an exemplary school for students grade 7 - 12. The school offers a wide array of course options, clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities and has the highest school ranking of all public secondary schools in Kelowna.

Okanagan College

Located less than 10 Km away from Kettle Valley, Okanagan College is a great post secondary institution that offers more than 120 degrees, diplomas, certificates, and programs in Arts, Sciences, Business, Engineering Technologies, Continuing Studies, and Apprenticeship & Pre-apprenticeship Trades programs. Established more than 50 years ago, Okanagan College is a popular choice among both parents and students, delivering programs to more than 7,500 full-time students and some 22,000 students in total each year across regional campuses in Kelowna, Penticton, Salmon Arm and Vernon.

Construction is currently underway on a 10,000 sq. metre, targeted-LEED Platinum Trades Training Complex at the Kelowna Campus. Kettle Valley is a proud supporter of the complex, which is scheduled to open in Spring 2016 and will accommodate more than 2,600 students per year.

University of British Columbia - Okanagan

The University of British Columbia is one of the top public universities in Canada and North America and the Okanagan campus is located on more than 2 acres near the Kelowna International Airport. UBCO offers degrees in a variety of subjects, including nursing, education, science, management, engineering and arts. The campus is growing in popularity and significant investments continue to be made. UBC Okanagan is a great choice for students in Kettle Valley as the campus is located less than 30 minutes away.

Nature

Kettle Valley is adjacent to the Johns Family Nature Conservancy Regional Park, an incredible space with more than 402 hectares perched high above Kelowna in the southern hills. This spectacular park is home to many kilometres of trails that are perfect for a summer hike and taking in spectacular views of Kelowna, West Kelowna, Okanagan Lake, and the valley below.

The nearby woods are also home to some interesting and beautiful wildlife, including columbian ground squirrels, mushrooms, indian paintbrush, wild tiger lillies, grouse, deer, and bobcats.

In fact, over the years, a community newsletter has been put together by residents and the highly popular, resident-organized Kettle Valley Garage Sale has been an annual tradition for more than 19 years.
